Greta Thunberg, the Swedish environmental activist captured for the first time in the historical wet plate collodion process of silver on glass. Her message is simple. Listen to the science and then take action. "Standing For Us All" is the name I have chosen for this wet plate of Greta Thunberg. This image has been shared tens of thousands of times with hundreds of thousands of likes in the first week alone. Before she left I asked her father Svante a question. I asked him "What can I do for Greta and her cause?". He explained to me that I have already done my role by taking her wet plates.” His only request was that the images be shared with the world along with Greta's message. To honor his request the back of the print has her message: "People are suffering. People are dying. Entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are at the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth. How dare you." - Greta Thunberg

I am working with Dr. Laurel Vermillion the President of Sitting Bull Collage to raise funds for their Immersion Nest program (https://sittingbull.edu/immersion-nest/). Their mission is to revitalize the Dakota/Lakota language, equipping students with the tools necessary to achieve high standards of learning and to become conscientious decision-makers, life-long learners and quality citizens of our people and communities. Their vision is to empower students through the Dakota/Lakota language and culture to become confident, self-directed, self-aware and respectful life-long learners. "Fluent speakers, sovereign thinkers."
The proceeds from the sale of these prints will go to this very important and special program for the youth of Standing Rock.
